Legal & Compliance
Center
Transparency is a core engineering principle. Below are the terms, service level agreements, and data policies that govern your use of the RetailCoder ecosystem.
1. Terms of Service
By accessing RetailCoder services (including RC:OMS, RC:Storefront, RC:Pulse, and the RetailCoder API), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a corporate entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity.
1.1 License Grant & Self-Hosting
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, RetailCoder grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services for your internal business operations. For Self-Hosted deployments (e.g., RC:Storefront on your VPS), the license permits deployment solely on infrastructure directly controlled by your organization.
1.2 Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the object code of the software or proprietary algorithms.
- Use the Services to build a competitive product, service, or underlying architectural framework.
- Exceed the API rate limits defined in your specific Enterprise Order Form.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or labels attached to the software.
2. Privacy Policy
We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide and maintain our engineering services. We do not, and will never, sell your operational or customer data to third parties.
2.1 Data Collection Scope
- Account Info: Engineering contact names, organizational emails, and billing entities.
- Telemetry & Usage Logs: API latency, error rates, and performance metrics utilized exclusively for debugging and system optimization.
- Data Sovereignty (Self-Hosted): For Enterprise clients deploying RC:Storefront on private VPS infrastructure, RetailCoder has zero access to your underlying customer PII or transaction data unless explicitly granted via a support token.
3. Data Security
Security is not a feature; it is the foundation of the RetailCoder OS. We implement enterprise-grade security protocols across all managed deployments.
- All API traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3.
- Database volumes are encrypted at rest using AES-256 block-level encryption.
- Webhook payloads utilize cryptographic HMAC signatures to prevent payload tampering and replay attacks.
4. Service Level Agreement (SLA)
For Enterprise clients utilizing RetailCoder Managed Cloud hosting, we guarantee a 99.99% monthly uptime.
| Monthly Uptime % | Service Credit Refund |
|---|---|
| < 99.99% | 10% of Monthly Fee |
| < 99.90% | 25% of Monthly Fee |
| < 99.00% | 50% of Monthly Fee |
* Note: SLA credits apply exclusively to Managed Cloud deployments, not self-hosted infrastructure.
5. Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RETAILCODER SYSTEMS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ₹10,000 INR OR THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO RETAILCODER FOR THE PAST 12 MONTHS OF THE SERVICES IN QUESTION.
